Refund policy
Every Holden & Hunt garment is made specifically for an individual client. As our bespoke and made-to-measure pieces are created to your measurements and specifications, they cannot ordinarily be returned or exchanged if you change your mind.
This does not affect your statutory rights if a garment is faulty, not as described or not fit for an agreed purpose.
Bespoke and Made-to-Measure
Creating a bespoke or made-to-measure garment is a collaborative process between client and tailor. Fittings, refinements and alterations are a normal part of achieving the right fit, and we ask for your patience and trust in the skill and craftsmanship of our team throughout the process.
Because each garment is created specifically for one client, we do not ordinarily offer returns or exchanges once fabric has been ordered or production has begun.
Instead, we include follow-up fittings and any reasonable fit alterations needed to achieve the agreed fit, provided you contact us within six weeks of being notified that your garment is ready.
If you contact us within this period but cannot attend immediately, we will be happy to arrange a suitable later appointment.
Changes to the agreed style, fabric, lining, buttons, length or design are not treated as fit alterations and may incur an additional charge. Alterations required because your measurements or body shape have changed since ordering may also be chargeable.
Cancelling an Order
Please send cancellation requests in writing to concierge@holdenandhunt.com as soon as possible.
If fabric has not yet been ordered and work on your garment has not begun, we will cancel the order and provide a full refund.
Once fabric has been ordered, pattern or design work has begun, or the garment has entered production, a full refund may no longer be possible. Any refund offered will be reduced only by the reasonable costs and work already committed to your order.
As every order is processed individually, please contact us promptly and we will confirm what stage your order has reached.
Faults or Problems with an Order
Please contact us promptly if you believe your garment is faulty, materially different from the agreed order or has not been made with reasonable care and skill.
We may ask to inspect the garment or arrange a fitting so that we can understand and address the issue.
Depending on the circumstances, the appropriate remedy may include an alteration, repair, remake, price reduction or refund.
Please give us a reasonable opportunity to inspect and resolve an issue before arranging alterations with another tailor.
Ready-to-Wear
Where an item is described as ready-to-wear and has not been personalised or altered, you may notify us within 14 days of receiving it that you wish to return it.
The item must then be returned unused, unworn and in its original condition, with all tags attached, within a further 14 days.
Refunds will be processed to the original payment method after the returned item has been received and inspected.
Personalised or altered garments cannot be returned under this section.
